Haunted Church Tunnel/The Center for Molecular Medicine and Immunology
so yesterday i went on another on one of my little adventures.
Me and my grandfather traveled all the way up to Belleville, NJ to go take pictures of the Belleville Reformed Church and this abandoned Hospital called the Center for Molecular Medicine and Immunology. First we parked right on main street and walked up to the Belleville Reformed Church which is said to have haunted church tunnels underneath. it was founded in 1697 and was rebuilt in 1725 and again in 1807. It was a lookout for soldiers during the American Revolution. The current building was built in 1853. So we got out of the car and started taking pictures of the building. it was a beautiful building. Then my grandpa decided he wanted to go inside so i agreed and we tried opening every door but none of them would budge. it was a shame too because i really wanted to see the inside :( then we went around and found the cemetery were over 60 revolutionary soldiers are buried but just like the doors to the church the gate to the cemetery was locked and there was no way to get over the fence. so we go in the car and left to the next spot.
We only had to drive about 3 minuets and then out in this huge field was the Center for Molecular medicine and Immunology. It's now abandoned and falling apart but thats the beauty in abandoned buildings. So we going to walk around the block and up the driveway to the hospital but my grandpa couldn't walk that far. so we decided the drive around the back of it and walk to the front and take pictures but when we got to the back there was a cop. my heart sank but my grandpa wanted to get out and talk to the cop to see if we could just take pictures of the outside not the inside but when he talked to the women cop she said she really couldn't do that because she would defiantly get fired if she did which is totally understandable. She said if we wanted we could walk to the sidewalk in the front and take pictures there. So we drove around to the front and took pictures there.
After we were hungry and my grandpa wanted McDonalds and the nearest one was in East Orange. When we walked into the McDonalds everyone was starring at us because we the only white people there. The place was a dump too it was so gross. But we ate and got out ok. Now onto the next adventure!

The Bull God
so once again, i've been here way before but i'm going to blog about it now.
So on the same trip i went to on to see Purgatory Road i also went to go see this thing called the Bull God, basically it's this big statue of a bull holding a snake that was used as a movie prop in the 30's i think. Now it is just sitting in someones backyard which the house is also vacant. So me and my grandfather took the ride on over to Lumberton where the statue is located and we drove all the way up the road until we found it. We pulled over and got out and trudged through the weeds until we got to the statue. We took a couple pictures and then got back in the car and either went to the next location or went home.
Yea the location was pretty uneventful.

The Essex County Hospital Center
I went to this place a way long time ago but i'm going to blog about it now.
Anyway, i was sitting at home and i saw something on the website nj.com about the essex county hospital center aka overbrook being torn down soon so i said to myself that i had to go see it before anything happens. So me and my awesome grandpa got in the car and headed for the 2 hour drive up to cedar grove. I was really excited but nervous to go to the hospital. Excited because c'mon its an abandoned asylum and nervous because i didn't want to get caught. going north on the road we first got out on the left side where all the small buildings were we started to look around a bit and not even 5 minuets into our adventure we heard a loud bang and crash from inside one of the buildings. I assumed it was an animal. We then went over on the right side to where the wards were. We walked around on the outside for a really long time when my grandpa decided that we should go inside. So we went inside the kitchen first and looked around. they still had cans of food sitting there. i thought that was kind of gross. Anyway, then we went over to where the rooms were. Once i got inside i got the creepy feeling that someone was watching me. We poked around a little and decided to head back out because all there really was to see where more wards and they all looked the same. We didn't go to the morgue because we couldn't find it haha. so we only spent about 2 hours there and the good thing was we didn't get caught, no police no security guards, nothing it was awesome. This place has been by far my favorite place i've been to.

Purgatory road/Purgatory house
So i went here a while ago, before i had this blog so i'm going to blog about it now.
So it's located in Southampton, NJ. We drove for about an hour and me and my grandpa finally arrived (my grandpa is no ordinary person he loves going to this kind of stuff with me and he doesn't slow me down he can keep up) anyway, i knew there was the abandoned house somewhere in the woods but at first i didn't see it. We drove up and down the road a couple of times (the people who live on the road must have been pretty annoyed) until my grandpa suddenly said "what's that in the woods?" and behold we found the purgatory house. so we parked in front of the path leading towards it. My grandpa stayed by the car and i went to go see the legendary Purgatory house. I didn't go inside because i never go inside an abandoned house alone who knows what could happen. so i took some picture of the exterior and went on back to the car. about a couple months later me and one of my friends Nicole decided to go on a little adventure so i suggested the Purgatory house since i really wanted to see what was inside. When i got home that night with my grandpa i looked up more things about the Purgatory house. everyone said it was haunted so i wanted to see if that was true also. So me and Nicole went into the house and saw it was falling apart. The floor looked like it was going to collapse any second but that didnt stop me. We explored the first level and then slowly went up the stairs to the second level. after exploring for a while and taking some pictures we decided to do a little daytime ghost hunting. We really didn't get anything until something happened that still creeps me out till this day. I heard really close to my ear the sound of someone exhaling. i have it on video and everything. it wasn't me or nicole and there was no wind and the road is pretty far from the house so it was weird. Then after we ate out at friendly's :)
